Notes:
- Initially an AW radar with a transportable aerial tower array was to be used. An LW/AW superceded this radar.
- LW/AW erected adjacent to 104RS and was operated for tests and training
- Transported to Port Moresby the same day on C-47s
- Six C-47s were employed
- Camp under trees on bank of Samboga River (9 miles SW of Buna & 7 miles west of coast)
- Two aborted attempts were made to fly to Tsili Tsili. Successful next day
- Four airmen seriously injured, four airmen received shrapnel wounds
- Radar set up off the ground on 2'6" poles - Site adjacent to 622 SAW radar. This site is north of Gusap and is on swampy ground between the Ramu and Markham River watersheds.
