  1. Unit moved in 6(7?) C-47s. Five flights to Horn Island with refuelling at Cooktown.
  2. Delay due to technical problems & poor radar performance
  3. Three days required to transfer equipment from railway trucks to Garbutt Airfield
  4. Known to unit personnel as 'Queer Mary'
  5. 4.5 hour trip to Mulgrave Island
  6. Equipment moved by a sledge and a Ferguson tractor. Temporary camp set up at the back of the beach.
  7. Permanent camp at the base of the mountain
