  1. Formed as a section of 1RDIU. As it consisted of small sized equipment it was not intended to be formed as a separate unit but function as an attached unit to another station. Unit was commanded by an RAF FSGT Radar Mechanic and consisted of 4 other radar Mechanics and 8 Radar Operators
