  1. First RAAF radar to detect enemy aircraft
  2. Originally a section of 5FS. Hal Porter also believes that Fred Hull was the person who put the extra condenser in the AW Time Base to increase the range.
  3. He was to prepare for 38RS arrival
  4. Sandbag wall collapsed and part of Ops room collapsed
  5. Equipment to be shipped to Morotai DEI

  8. Operations interrupted for 5 hours while change over to LW/AW carried out.
  9. Unit moved to Darwin by air
  10. Unit was back on the air within 2 minuts and detected 3-5 bombers at 54 miles. These plots were followed into 9 miles and reappeared going out at 28 miles and 39 miles as the force had split. They were followed to 94 miles.
  11. At 1239hrs 22 Zero fighters at 30,000ft were detected at 160 miles. At 1241hrs 27 bombers were detected at 170-175 miles. Signal to noise ratio was 2:2 to 3:1.
